Unlike the US, the popular vote actually decides the chancellor
22 Senators for the state of Karolien
12 Senators for the state of Loeg
10 Senators for the state of Zanden
5 Senator for the state of Laveat
Kardashtuku is a multiple-party system. Although, the top 7 largest parties are the only ones shown on the ballots when it is time to elect.
The top seven parties as of 2022:
The Fisuity Party- Favors traditionalism and neutrality. Not in any way similar to the US conservative party. Was the dominant party for the first few years of the Kardashtuku Republic.
The Silent Party- Also known as the “Progressive Party”. More progressive and favors neutrality. Somewhat similar to the US Democratic party. Became the Fisuity Party’s greatest competition in the late 2020s.
The Democratic Party - A liberal democratic combination of the Silent Party and the Fisuity Party. Formed in July of 2023.
The Socialist Party- Formed after communism was banned in Kardashtuku in 2008. Although the ban on communist parties was lifted in 2012, the Socialist party continued on as the third most popular party in Kardashtuku.
Libertarian Party- Split off from the Conservative party in 2009 when the Conservative party became the Orthodox-Conservative Party.
Orthodox-Conservative Party- Formed from the merging of the Orthodox and Conservative parties.
Communist Party- Reformed in 2012 when the ban on communism was lifted. Very unpopular.
Monarchist Party- Continuation of the far-right Silver Sword Party. Extremely unpopular.
